Victoria Falls Safari Club detail

The picturesque grounds of Victoria Falls Safari Lodge are the setting for Victoria Falls Safari Club, a modern retreat at one of the area’s best resorts. Surrounded by a private slice of wilderness and overlooking a waterhole often visited by elephants and buffalo, the 20-room lodge is close enough to the attractions of the spectacular Falls yet sufficiently removed to offer peace and privacy at the end of a busy day.

Complimentary shuttles regularly make the five-minute drive into Victoria Falls Town where there are a multitude of activities to choose from, whether your taste is for seasonal adrenaline-fuelled adventures such as white-water rafting and bungee jumping, or for the gentler pursuits of river cruising and golf. The Zambezi National Park offers a nearby venue for game drives and guided walks to gain an insight into the wildlife of the area.

With a world-class adventure and leisure destination on your doorstep, Victoria Falls Safari Club is the ideal private retreat from which to experience the wonders of the area, while enjoying superior levels of comfort, service, and sophistication in Zimbabwe.

Rooms

Club Room

The 16 contemporary rooms are spacious and stylish, featuring uninterrupted views over the Zambezi landscape and its spectacular sunsets. Air conditioning means complete comfort at any time of year, and the beds are gracefully draped with huge walk-in mosquito nets. A mini-bar keeps your favorite drinks cold for sundowner moments on your verandah, while a Nespresso machine delivers your morning coffee. The en suite bathrooms feature signature amenities, rain showers, and deep bathtubs for a blissful soak. All rooms also have digital safes international multi sockets and charging points.

Four Club Suites offer the same facilities as the Club Rooms as well as a spacious adjacent lounge area.

Facilities

With its blend of wood, stone, and thatch, Victoria Falls Safari Lodge combines modern elegance with a timeless African style. The Club Lounge features an open-plan sitting and dining area that flows onto the viewing deck, perfect to relax with a drink and watch the game at the waterhole below. Visiting animals is especially common in the dry season and guests may see elephants, buffalo, baboon, and warthog without even leaving the lodge. As a private enclave within the popular Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, you are welcome to enjoy its facilities too, which include the Buffalo Bar and Makuwa-kuwa Restaurant.

The staff here pride themselves on little extras such as private check-in and check-out, a butler service, complimentary laundry (most welcome after a few days on safari), and a complimentary hand and foot massage (subject to the availability of therapists).

You can attend lectures on the life of Dr David Livingstone, the first white person to see Mosi-ao-Tunya (as Victoria Falls was named), a conservation project known as 'Vulture Culture' that involves feeding these endangered raptors, and a courtesy shuttle to Victoria Falls Town and the dinner and drumming show at The Boma.

Dining

The Safari Club chefs and your butler attempt to ensure that your every need is catered for, whether you wish to take meals on your private verandah or in the main dining room. Your in-room complimentary beverage station includes a Nespresso machine, while the similarly complimentary mini-bar is restocked daily with local beer, wine, and soft drinks.

Another option is the popular Boma Restaurant, set nearby and whose buffet features a variety of Zimbabwean delicacies, including game dishes and buttery mopane worms! The lively entertainment features Ndebele drummers who play infectious, foot-tapping rhythms and you are welcome to pick up a drum and join in.

For a more refined dining experience, the a la carte menu at the Makuwa-kuwa Restaurant at the Safari Lodge competes with the view over the waterhole for your attention.

In the afternoons, enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, and pastries while complimentary sundowners and snacks are served to enjoy the sunset.
