Rooms
Deluxe Room
The Queen Victoria Hotel consists of 35 rooms, five of which are suites. All the rooms are decorated with marble-clad walls, crystal chandeliers, and wooden parquet flooring. Rooms enjoy either views of the harbour or Table Mountain and each is individually designed.
The luxury rooms are spacious and stylish and you will find a fully stocked mini-bar, luxurious Molton Brown amenities, and decor featuring laser-cut, paper-on-paper artwork of local fynbos. Rooms also have flat-screen televisions, wireless Internet, and bed linen that is made from 400-thread pure Egyptian cotton.
Other Room Types
The Manor House – an exclusive annexe to the hotel – has four private, luxury suites equipped with upscale amenities by Molton Brown, air conditioning, king-sized beds, electronic safes, private bars and butler services. Bathrooms are en suite and all rooms have private patios or Juliet balconies, offering uninterrupted views of Table Mountain. You also have access to a private dining room, designer spa, ultra-modern gym, and a pool area nestled in a lovely manicured garden.
Presidential Suite
The Presidential Suite offers the ultimate in luxurious elegance, with views of both Table Mountain and the harbour from the wrap-around deck. Apart from the beautiful bedroom, the suite also has a dining room, an uncommonly large bathroom and a double chaise lounge bed on the balcony. The hotel also offers a room specifically designed to be accessible by wheelchair.
Facilities
As a guest, you enjoy full access to the Sanctuary Spa where a range of relaxing and rejuvenating massages and treatments is available.
The pool area in the beautifully manicured garden of Queen Victoria also boasts a pool bar where you can lounge and enjoy your favourite refreshments and light meals.
Those travelling with children can make use of the professional, educational and fun child-minding service that is highly flexible. Carers can take the kids to the V&A Waterfront's cinemas, pirate ship, gemstone scratch patch or Two Oceans Aquarium.
Dining
Dash is Queen Victoria's in-house restaurant and bar and gets its name from the late queen of England's favourite pet spaniel. You can look forward to sophisticated fine dining and a menu that is structured around classic French cuisine. The chefs make wonderful use of seasonal ingredients and all items are sourced locally - except for the high-grade caviar. Most of the furniture found in the restaurant was sourced from local designers and you can decide to sit either inside or out on the veranda, either way enjoying an intimate, delicious meal.
