Ingwe Pan Camp is an exciting option for travelers considering a classic safari in Mana Pools! Ingwe Pan Camp is the latest property to join the portfolio of Machaba Safaris. The minimum age requirement will be 6 years, but all ages will be welcome when the camp is booked for exclusive use. The price of your stay will include all meals, a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks, all activities, transfers between camp and Mana Main Airstrip, and a laundry service. The camp is open from 1st May to 15th November every year.
The camp is accessed via 20 minute road transfer from Mana Main Airstrip. The site comprises a secluded pan surrounded by ebony trees, within the wilderness area of Mana Pools.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT INGWE PAN CAMP:
Guest accommodation consists of eight tents. Positioned amidst trees on the edge of the pan, these are linked along natural walkways. All are elegantly furnished with a double bed (twin beds are available on request), and they have spacious interiors as well as beautiful views over the pan. The en-suite facilities will feature twin washbasins and both inside and outside showers.
The communal facilities at Ingwe Pan Camp include an open-plan lounge and an outside dining area. The dining area is perfect for tucking into delicious food and drinks while watching wildlife come to drink or bathe at the pan. Come late afternoon, you might even see an elusive leopard! There is also a lovely picnic and sundowner spot just a short distance from camp – a big old baobab that guests can relax around in between adventures in Mana Pools.
ACTIVITIES AT INGWE PAN CAMP:
Ingwe Pan Camp offers classic safari activities, as follows:
Walking is the main activity at camp, with guests becoming very well acquainted with the area around the pan as well as the Mana floodplain, all in the company of knowledgeable and experienced guides. Among mopane woods, albida forests, and verdant wetlands, you’ll observe plants, insects, birds, and mammals alike! Mammals in residence include lion, leopard, hyena, zebra, kudu, and impala, while the impressive bird count features Arnot’s chat and broad-billed roller. You’ll also head down to the mighty Zambezi River for early morning tea or afternoon sundowners.
Also enjoyed in the presence of expert guides, drives will be available during the morning and afternoon. They provide opportunities to cover a lot of ground within the national park, and observe a thrilling assortment of wildlife species!
Guests are also invited to fish from the banks of the Zambezi or from aboard a canoe, both a great add-on to your classic walking and vehicle safaris.
