This no-frills and authentic safari lodge is situated in Uganda’s premier Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of the most biologically diverse parks on Earth. It is home to an astonishing list of over 600 bird species, and Uganda’s famous tree-climbing lions. Overlooking the beautiful Kazinga Channel, the lodge is built according to ecological principles and designed to maximize the privacy of its guests.
Go on daily game drives through the park’s Kasenyi Plains or Ishasha sector to see animals like elephants, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, and a smorgasbord of antelope species. Do not miss the chance to enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, floating just a short distance from hundreds of hippos and buffalo. Day trips can be taken to the dramatic Kyambura Gorge – also known as the ‘Valley of Apes’ – to trek chimpanzees and learn more about its verdant tropical rainforest.
A visit to Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge can easily be combined with a gorilla-trekking adventure in nearby Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Banda
Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge consists of 12 ecologically built bandas (traditional huts), all well-spaced apart among the indigenous bush. Raised on wooden platforms and constructed from canvas and local materials, each banda features a private terrace with views of the seasonal Kamera River.
Facilities
A large dining and lounge tent provides a tranquil and comfortable area for relaxation, overlooking the Kazinga Channel with the gorgeous Rwenzori Mountains as a backdrop. Cosy up beside the campfire and listen to the nocturnal sounds of chortling hippos and giggling hyenas.
Dining
Meals are enjoyed in the lodge’s spacious dining tent or beside the campfire under the stars (weather permitting).
