Set in the private Palmwag area of rugged, beautiful Damaraland, Desert Rhino Camp is a luxury tented camp run in conjunction with the Save the Rhino Trust. The camp contributes directly to the Trust, a lifeline for the region's endangered black rhino, and is ultimately an important contributor to the sustainability of this vulnerable area and its surprisingly diverse wildlife.
You will share Desert Rhino Camp with dedicated conservationists and local trackers for a unique game-viewing experience. The morning and afternoon game drives center around tracking rhinos although there are also healthy populations of antelope, and the predator population is the largest outside of the Etosha National Park with over 100 lion, cheetah, leopard, and brown and spotted hyena resident. Moreover, birding enthusiasts are sure to appreciate the prolific and diverse birdlife in the Palmwag area.
