Nyasi (meaning 'grass') is a migrational camp operated by Legendary Expeditions in the Serengeti National Park. Following the Great Migration, this mobile camp moves between two locations during different times of the year. This gives you front-row seats to our planet's greatest wildlife phenomenon, no matter what time of the year you visit the Serengeti.

Nyasi moves with the Wildebeest Migration, spending June to October on the Lamai savannah in the far northern corner of the Serengeti, and December to March on the grassy plains of the south. All guests at this intimate camp get private safari vehicles and guides, ensuring an exclusive safari experience at your own pace. Nyasi also provides the option of making half the camp a private area for travelers who desire exclusive-use facilities - ideal for families with children.

Go on daily game drives and guided walking safaris to track the Serengeti's big game, or spot-lit night drives to discover Africa's nocturnal creatures like honey badgers, genets, and civets. Nyasi comprises eight double tents and one family tent that are well-spaced apart to ensure privacy for all guests. The tents are spacious and beautifully decorated to radiate with old-world charm, and boast comfortable beds (king or twin configurations), mosquito nets, and en suite bathrooms with twin vanities.

Facilities

Nyasi Migrational Camp's main area provides a welcoming communal space for guests to relax in the lounge, enjoy a drink, and share their exciting animal sightings of the day. WiFi is available in the camp's main area.

At night, you can look forward to sipping on a tipple of your choice while listening to your guide's tales of derring-do as the campfire roars like a distant freight train.
