Chaka Tented Camp detail

Chaka Camp – An Exclusive Mobile Safari Experience in the Serengeti

Immerse yourself in the raw beauty of the Serengeti with a stay at Chaka Camp, an intimate, semi-permanent tented camp designed to follow the path of the Great Migration. With just nine luxurious tents, Chaka Camp—meaning "bush" in Swahili—offers an authentic and immersive safari experience, placing you in the heart of Tanzania’s most famous wildlife spectacle.

Chaka Camp moves seasonally across different regions of the Serengeti ecosystem, ensuring prime game-viewing opportunities throughout the year. From December to March, the camp is based in the Ndutu area, offering front-row seats to the Great Migration’s calving season, when thousands of wildebeest give birth, attracting predators such as lions and cheetahs. In May and June, the camp relocates to the Western Serengeti, where the herds face the dramatic challenge of crossing the Grumeti River. Chaka Camp sets up in the Northern Serengeti from July to November, providing unparalleled access to the world-famous Mara River crossings, where wildebeest navigate crocodile-infested waters.

Whether you’re seeking thrilling wildlife encounters or a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, Chaka Camp delivers an unparalleled blend of comfort and adventure.
