Olaado is a seasonal mobile camp, moving twice a year to anticipate the movement of the great migration and offering our guests the opportunity to be right in the heart of this unique animal show. Between December and March, the camp is set around Ndutu in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Numbers gathering in the short grass plains are unbelievable and this is also the time females give birth to their calves.
In summer, between June and October, the camp moves further north to Serengeti. Herds are now on their way to northern Serengeti and prepare for their annual river crossings.

THE CAMP

Olaado ensures a wonderful bush experience. It is located under tall acacia trees giving a unique atmosphere with a true "old-style safari feel".

You have the rare opportunity to disconnect from everyday life and reconnect with nature and yourself. The views are superb and guests get this unique feeling of being part of the environment.

THE TENTS

All 8 safari-style canvas tents are thoughtfully well-positioned to give lovely views out over the savannah.

They are well-appointed, with very comfortable beds, cozy furnishing, and to the rear spacious en-suite bathrooms that have running water and flush toilets. Electric lighting is provided by a small solar system - available 24 hours.

PUBLIC AREAS

The Mess Tent, with its large canvas roof and wooden floor, can accommodate up to 15 persons. A part of the tent is dedicated to a small bar where guests can enjoy a large choice of drinks, before or after dinner.

End your day in the safari atmosphere with a digestif, enjoy the African night sky, and share the day's experiences at the campfire.
