Day 1: Flight to Masai Mara National Reserve

Your driver will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi and drive you to Wilson Airport, where you will board your flight to Masai Mara. You will then be received at the airstrip and driven to your camp while enjoying a short game drive and arrive at your destination in time for lunch. After some rest, you will head out for an afternoon game drive on the Masai Mara plains, returning to camp in time for dinner.

Day 2-3: Full-Day Game Drives in Masai Mara National Reserve

For the two days, after breakfast, you will head out for full-day game drives where you can expect to see a significant number of wildlife—leopards, lions, buffaloes, elephants, rhinos, wildebeest, hyenas, cheetahs, zebras as well as many bird species. You will enjoy a picnic lunch on day two, and on day three, you will return to camp for lunch before heading out to visit a Masai Village close to the park.

Day 4: Masai Mara to Entebbe in Uganda

After breakfast, your driver will drop you off at the nearest airstrip, where you will board a plane to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where you will connect with the flight to Entebbe, Uganda. Our company representative will pick you up and drive you to your hotel in Entebbe.

Day 5: Flight to Kasese and Kibale National Park

After a morning cup of coffee, you will be dropped at the airport in Entebbe, where you will get on the plane to Kasese Airstrip, the closest to Kibale National Park. Upon arrival, your driver will pick you up and drive you to your lodge in Kibale. The drive will give you a good view of the beautiful scenery of the southwestern region of Uganda.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking at Kibale National Park

You will wake up early for breakfast, and your driver guide will drive you to the Kibale National Park's headquarters. After a short briefing by one of the park staff, a guide will be allocated to you, who will lead the trek into the forest, searching for the chimpanzees. This park is the only place in East Africa where one can have the best primate tracking experience searching for man's closest relative, the chimpanzee. After lunch, you will also walk in the nearby community to experience the local culture.

Day 7: Flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, your driver guide will drive you to Kasese Airstrip, where you will take a flight to the Kihihi Airstrip. Upon arrival, another driver will pick you up and drive you to your camp at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After lunch, you may walk around the small village neighboring the forest or spend the afternoon/ evening leisurely.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Today is regarded as the highlight of the entire safari in Uganda! So, after breakfast, you will head out to the park's headquarters, where you have to get to by 7:30am. At the park, you will join other visitors for a briefing by one of the park's officials. Now, it is time to go into the forest! You will accompany the lead guide to find the gorilla family you will be allocated to. The round trip may take between two to seven hours, depending on where your gorilla family is.

Day 9: Entebbe International Airport

After breakfast, your driver guide will ensure you get to the airstrip on time to catch the plane to Entebbe International Airport. And here, depending on your departure time, you may wait at the airport or check in at a hotel in Entebbe for a day room. This will mark the end of your nine-day safari to the Masai Mara National Reserve and chimpanzee and gorilla trekking adventure.
