Tented Room

Each of the six canvas luxury tents overlooks the waterhole, which is often frequented by elephants, plains games, and other games. Tastefully decorated in a monochrome scheme, the tents have touches that hark back to the golden age of classic safaris with modern treats like yoga mats and in-room massages available. The en suite bathrooms have flushing toilets, walk-in showers, and signature toiletries.

Family Tent

The family room can accommodate two adults and three children. The spacious tent can be partitioned with canvas to create two separate rooms with en suites.

Facilities

Inspired by the thousands of pastel-pink flamingoes that inhabit Lake Manyara each summer, the central communal area of Little Chem Chem has two large ‘wings’, one comprising the dining area and outside fire pit and the other, the bar, lounge with fireplace and library. As much as possible, these tents are left open to the elements to maintain the connection to nature. Guests also have access to interesting activities like tracking and ‘bush cooking’ lessons, guided walks and hot-air balloon safaris. For those who are looking for a little relaxation, there is also the option of getting a massage. In the evenings, chat – glass in hand – in the cozy fire pit while the billion-star Milky Way passes overhead.
