The Grumeti Wildlife Management Area (WMA), bordered by Serengeti NP in the South and West, and in the North by the Grumeti Game Reserve, is arguably one of the most scenically beautiful and diverse wilderness areas.

The Grumeti River crosses the area only 2 kilometers from the lodge.
Wildlife is abundant all year round, with some good resident game as well as the Great Migration passing through and settling in twice a year (May to July and October to December).

THE CAMP

Situated in the heart of the WMA, on the edge of Serengeti National Park, the camp is built on the highest hill in the area.

The tents and public areas are raised on stone terraces and offer commanding views over the lush surroundings.
Grumeti Hills also offers exciting activities including walking safaris and night game drives in E-powered 4x4s, the very first in East Africa.

THE TENTS

The camp boasts of 20 stand-alone tents spilled around a beautiful hill.

Each of the twenty spacious tented rooms offers a warm atmosphere with wooden flooring and sustainable materials.
It consists of a living area, a bedroom, a dressing alcove, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, washbasin, and flushing toilet.
The large veranda serves as the perfect location for a relaxing break while overlooking the plains.  information coming soon

PUBLIC AREAS

The impressive main building with its spectacular thatched roof and colorful design comprises a spacious restaurant, a lounge area, a bar, and an inviting terrace.

Enjoy your pre-and post-dinner drinks together socially at our cozy lounge.

THE SWIMMING POOL AND THE SPA

At the southern end of the hill, you can relax at the swimming pool, beautifully carved into the rocks and overlooking the sweeping grassy plains.

The deck with comfortable lounge chairs and the massage room are our guests' favorite spots after an adventure-filled day in the bush.
We are proud of leaving a light footprint with our eco-friendly water system.

NIGHT SAFARI

A night game drive in the WMA is a thrilling opportunity to explore the bush when the day has cooled down and the inhabitants move out of the shade of the trees.

Many animals cannot be spotted during the day. Only during night time, nocturnal hunters start stirring, and their prey needs to be alert for survival through the night.
Our locally-based & open vehicles are equipped with high seats, and special lamps (to keep disturbance to a minimum) and our guests are joined by a special ranger from the Wildlife Department.

WALKING SAFARI

Grumeti Hills defines a once-in-a-lifetime bespoke safari experience and is famous for its superb walking safaris conducted by Wildlife Department rangers.

Various itineraries can be offered.
All walks are organized in the morning, up to the Grumeti river banks, where a delicious bush breakfast is served.

ECO FRIENDLY

The whole camp is powered by solar energy.

The electricity is supplied by a new generation solar system.
The hot water is provided by solar heating systems.
The rainwater usage covers up to 50 % of the annual water consumption, the remaining being fetched from a borehole
