Chimpundu Lodge
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
After early breakfast, you will head for a briefing from the Kibale National Park offices regarding the rules and requirements while tracking chimpanzees. After the briefing, the guide will lead you into the forest to find the primates. Trekking in Kibale Forest takes between 2 to 5 hours. It is a different experience from gorilla trekking because chimps are more vocal and love to spend time on top of trees. They are also more mobile and might require that you follow them for a long time before they settle down to allow good photography. You will later return to your hotel for lunch and rest. Later in the evening, you will go for a walk around one of the most spectacular spots for bird watching. Along your way, you will spot other primates and several bird species.
After breakfast, the guide/ driver will transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park in Kasese district. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Flora with different species, take pictures, and enjoy the trip through spectacular sceneries with a clear view of the Rwenzori Mountains seated a few distance in front. Then, check-in at the lodge and get ready for an afternoon game drive. During your afternoon game drive, with our experienced guide, you will be driven to the most popular spots with a high concentration of wildlife.
Mweya Safari Lodge
You will wake up early to have breakfast ready for a long eventful day. The guide will take you for an early morning game drive at the Kasenyi plains with the purpose of catching up with nocturnal animals retreating to their dens after a busy night of hunting. The morning is also the best time to spot the early risers like birds and other mammals. You should be able to see hippos, lions, leopards, buffalos, and antelopes of various kinds.
The Ishasha sector is world-famous for tree-climbing lions and of course other great mammals, primates, and antelopes. The lions prefer resting on top of trees because it helps them escape insect bites and see potential prey. The tree-climbing lions are rare. This particular behavior of lions is known to have evolved among 2 Lion populations in the world; that is, Ishasha sector and Lake Manyara in Tanzania. However, the best place to see them is in Queen.
Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp
You will wake up very early to take your breakfast before heading out to the park offices for briefing at 7:00 a.m. During the briefing, the park Rangers/Guides will share information about the do’s and don’ts of trekking. These Gorilla groups are allocated according to your overall fitness. Porters are there to help you carry extra luggage or heavy equipment. Now that you are ready, head to the forest to track your gorillas. You will go through thick forests, and steep and muddy areas before finally meeting the family. Follow instructions from the head guide and take as many photos as you can in the one hour that you will spend with Gorillas.
After your one hour with the gorilla family, you should return to the starting point where our guide will be waiting to drive you back to your hotel. Visit the Batwa People! On the fringes of the national park are the last remaining members of the endangered Batwa Pygmy community that once flourished in the area.
Chameleon Hill Lodge
After a long night of resting, you should wake up for a late breakfast before starting the journey to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is arguably Uganda’s most beautiful lake. It has got several beautiful islands, and romantic shores and is a sanctuary for countless birds. Lake Bunyonyi is an excellent destination for relaxation after a long safari. You will enjoy relaxing by the lake shores, going boat riding, island hopping, and touring the local fishing villages.
Bunyonyi Safaris Resort
