Lewa Safari Camp offers tented safari accommodation within the Lewa Wilderness Trust – a private conservancy that is home to a diverse array of wildlife. With only 13 tented suites set beneath thatch canopies, Lewa offers an intimate safari escape in this exceptional location. This award-winning lodge is ideal for a romantic safari getaway. Go on day and night game drives in open 4x4 vehicles and look out for the unique wildlife that has adapted to this semi-desert environment. The temperate climate has another great drawcard: this is a malaria-free area, making it ideal for a range of safari lovers.
The Conservancy has the highest number of Grevy's zebra in the world. Other excursions in the conservancy include camel and cultural safaris, Chalbi Desert and Lake Turkana flying safaris, and fly-fishing at Lake Alice. This camp is very family-friendly and you can also saddle up horses or visit the anti-poaching sniffer dogs by prior arrangement.
The Lewa Wilderness Trust, along with the camp, is committed to social responsibility as it invests all of its profits into its essential programs. Visit and interact with one of the students from the primary and secondary schools in the Lewa Education Programme.

Safari Tent
Lewa Safari Camp offers 13 spacious en suite tents equipped with electricity and running water. The suites offer wonderful views of the Lewa plains. Two of the tents are spacious enough for honeymooners or families to enjoy, with the bonus of two en suite bathrooms each.
Facilities
Head out on day and night game drives in open 4x4 vehicles and look out for the unique wildlife that has adapted to this semi-desert environment.
Between activities, relax at the swimming pool or out on the sunny verandah - bring your binoculars along to look out for the birds that visit the flower-filled gardens. In the evenings, enjoy a tipple at the log fires in the sitting and dining rooms.
An unusual feature is the availability of a hairdryer for guests to use at certain times - generally, solar power is not suitable for such devices but the staff at Lewa Safari Camp have provided one in the communal bathroom in the main reception area.
Dining
Freshly cooked home-style meals, with an emphasis on locally available ingredients, are served in Lewa's timber-paneled dining room or outside on the terrace that overlooks the garden. The menu tends to be inspired by Italy so expect cold cuts, pastas, salads, cheeses, and delicious granita to end off the meal.
