On this day trip, you will hike on the Marangu Route up to Mandara Hut for lunch. You will NOT reach the summit.
All short treks are offered on a private basis, and you can start on any day of the year.
The short treks are geared for people who like to hike but reaching the summit isn't a “must do”, and allow one to experience the excitement of hiking on the highest peak on the African continent.
All trekking inside the Tanzania National Park requires the services of a certified Kilimanjaro guide, and the Marangu route is the only route where short treks are allowed.

We'll pick you up in Moshi/Arusha and drive for about an hour to Kilimanjaro National Park's Marangu gate. Following the necessary registration, your trek kicks off through a lush rainforest, offering glimpses of diverse bird species, blue monkeys, and black and white colobus monkeys. Our experienced guide will share insights about Kilimanjaro and the local flora and fauna. After 3-4 hours of hiking, you'll reach Mandara Hut at 2700 meters for lunch and a break. A brief 15-minute walk to Maundi Crater unveils stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Northern Tanzania. Returning to Marangu Gate takes 2-3 hours, where your transport awaits to take you back to your hotel. Reflect on the day's adventures and enjoy the sunset during the journey back.

CANCELLATION
·40% Deposit payable upfront. The remaining balance is payable 45 days prior to trip departure. Free cancellation up to 30 days prior to departure, but the 40% deposit paid is non-refundable. No refund applicable within 20 days of departure.

A deposit of 40% is required when booking this tour. The remaining balance will be charged 45 days prior to departure. For any bookings within 30 days of departure, the full tour amount will be charged upon booking.
