Day 1: Transfer to Chara Hotel.

We will collect you from Kilimanjaro International Airport or, in case you have arrived earlier we will collect you from your hotel in Arusha. Thereafter you will be transferred to Chara Africa Hotel which is located in Usa River, Tanzania, approximately 13 miles from notable landmarks such as the Old German Boma and Uhuru Monument. The hotel offers a variety of accommodations and amenities designed to provide comfort and convenience for guests. The starting point for a horseback safari. After a rest, Lunch will be served and you will have some time to relax before you meet your horses and set off on an evening ride.

Day 2: Tracking wild game.

Wake up early in the morning and start for a drive to west Kilimanjaro continue with the long ride in this wilderness area, tracking amongst elephants, zebra, wildebeest, and many antelope (Elands, Thomson, Grant, and Impala) occasionally buffalo. A late lunch will await us, prepared on a beautiful site with stunning scenery. The view of Mt. Meru on one side, Mt. Kilimanjaro behind you, and the mountains Longido and Namanga on the other side will make you feel that this is the place where you’d like to stay, forever. After a break, we will depart with a vehicle for an interesting journey to the Masai land. Get to know the cheerful women and children and learn about their daily lives. It will be dark when will return to camp, be watchful as we may come across some nocturnal animals usually not seen during the day.

Day 3: Track more Games.

Departure from the camp early for a spotting game along the western boundary of the reserve. In addition to the ever-present antelopes, zebras, and gazelles, we’ll keep an eye out for giraffes, ostriches, warthogs, and maybe a cheetah. What we hope for though, is the chance for a peaceful meeting with a herd of magnificent African elephants and we will explore the area of “Tembo bridge” (Tembo means elephant) to seek out herds in between the euphorbia forest. Don’t forget your binoculars and camera! Will stop for lunch and later afternoon we meet the vehicle and transport horses and guests to Makoa Farm. Enjoy the view of Mt. Kilimanjaro while sitting on the veranda with a sunset drink.

Day 4: Departure back to Arusha/Moshi

After a relaxed breakfast, you will have enough time to rest and have a look around.

This is where your safari comes to an end and you will find it difficult to leave new friends and horses. Will come to pick you up for your transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport, Moshi, or Arusha.
