Togoro Plains detail

Togoro Plains is a permanent lodge that opened in 2023

The “Togoro plains” are in the northern part of the Serengeti, halfway between Seronera and Lobo.

This area is great for wildlife all year due to it having permanent water holes.

The Serengeti NP has classed the region as a “rhino sanctuary” because a few black rhinos have settled there.

THE LODGE

The lodge was built around two imposing kopjes.

The common areas such as the restaurant, bar & swimming pool are built high up, while the tents are on the ground

TENTS

14 tents in total: Each tent has a thatched roof.

All the tents are built into the rocks & face the surrounding “Togoro plains” which stretch as far as the eye can see.

Each tent is equipped with a WC, shower, sinks, a desk, armchairs & beds.

Electricity (100% solar) is available 24/7

THE MESS – RESTAURANT & BAR

The restaurant which is thatched & thoughtfully decorated is built on a platform in the heart of the rocks.

The restaurant opens onto a large veranda that overlooks the camp and the plain.

The bar is a little further down and offers a warm atmosphere in the evening.

THE SWIMMING POOL

Installed in the hollow of the rocks, the swimming pool offers a magnificent view of the surrounding plains.

ECO FRIENDLY

The camp is entirely powered by solar electricity. Whether for lighting or hot water.

The camp is 100% “plastic-free”.

Guests can drink filtered water produced by the latest filtering technology used on site.
