Rooms

Standard Tent

Sarova Mara Camp consists of a series of luxury tented camps dotted around the grounds, offering comfortable accommodation without spoiling the natural feel of the surrounding wilderness. The camp has 52 Standard tents, 20 Club Tents, and 2 Family Tents, each with en suite bathrooms with permanent showers, flush toilets, and hot and cold running water.

The Standard Tents are spacious and comfortable, offering more than enough space for two people. The tents can be made up to be either double or twin and are tastefully furnished with wardrobes, writing desks, and safari chairs - retaining the African feel while keeping you comfortable.

Family Tent

The Family Tents feature two rooms (one double and one with two twin beds) that are connected by a spacious, beautifully appointed lounge. The tents are spacious enough to accommodate an extra single bed.

Other room types

The Club Tents are luxuriously appointed and offer breathtaking views of the Mara plains. These tents offer added space and elegance and open onto an outdoor deck – ideal for game viewing and private dining. The bathroom has an additional bath and his-and-hers basins.

Facilities

The free-form swimming pool is centrally located to create a relaxing space where you can cool down during the hot afternoons, and enjoy a drink or fresh fruit juice from the Ewaso Pool Bar.

The Oloip Bar is a lively hub of entertainment in the evenings, with a blazing fireplace and vibrant, welcoming atmosphere where you can socialize and enjoy live music.

Dining

Freshness and quality are the two main factors around which the chefs at Sarova Mara build their delicious meals. Apart from the Isokon Restaurant, there are many bush and outdoor dining options to suit your tastes and preferences and to make every meal a memorable occasion.

Isokon Restaurant is the main restaurant, offering buffet breakfasts, lunches, and dinners created using ingredients sourced from the camp's vegetable garden. Enjoy extensive continental, salad, and dessert buffets while you’re entertained by the live cooking counters where specialty dishes are prepared. Evenings will offer live entertainment and you'll also find an eclectic selection of new world and classic wines to accompany your meal.

The alfresco dining boma offers a more authentic African experience and is a wonderful place where large groups can dine in private and enjoy a vibrant, memorable meal. The boma is situated on the edge of the grounds, leaving the wilderness only a stone’s throw away and the star-studded sky above.

For a dining experience that is even closer to the Kenyan wilderness, you can enjoy champagne breakfasts in the bush after morning game drives or bush dinners that include a barbecue, game meats, and other local delicacies, accompanied by traditional music and dance.

Picnic meals are also available if you want to combine your game viewing with lunch or breakfast.
