Mfangano Island Camp is a natural paradise in an idyllic setting, sitting on an island at the edge, where the main form of transportation is colorful local canoes. Feel the warm sunlight as you look out onto Lake Victoria.
The camp occupies the entire secluded bay on the western shores of the island and is nestled between ancient fig trees. Each thatch-roofed rondavel (African-styled house) is tastefully decorated in ethnic style, complete with a large 4-poster bed.
Go out onto the lake for a fishing expedition, or take a walk into the heart of the island for some excellent bird-watching. Take the time to experience this retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Venture out onto the lake and water-ski across the calm water. Alternatively, take a scenic walk to the local village, and meet the very friendly residents.
