Naona Moru Tented Camp detail

Wake up to the crisp, clean air and wide-open spaces of Tanzania’s famed Serengeti National Park where you and your loved ones can spend thrilling days out on the savannah in search of the Big 5 and other fascinating African wildlife. At Naona Moru Camp, a quintessential safari experience awaits, complete with game drives, guided nature walks, hot-air ballooning, and luxury accommodation in finely furnished tented suites.

The camp enjoys an elevated position near the Moru Kopjes, an area of craggy outcrops that open onto the legendary golden plains of the Serengeti. This south-central region of the park offers excellent year-round game viewing and, in season, you can witness thousands of ungulates passing through with the annual Wildebeest Migration. Rooms

Luxury Tented Suite

Tented suites are very generously sized and fitted with netted windows to facilitate a cooling breeze. Your private covered verandah is the perfect spot to listen to the dawn chorus or relish the day’s last light in quiet seclusion. Put your feet up at the end of an action-packed day in your private living area, or freshen up in the large en suite bathroom equipped with a solar-heated safari shower, double vanity, and flush toilet.

The décor is classic with draped 4-poster beds, area rugs, Victorian writing desks, contemporary photographic art of wildlife, and comfortable sofas and chairs.

Facilities

The airy bar and lounge tent is perfect for grabbing an ice-cold drink during the hottest part of the day, and at dusk, you can enjoy sundowners at a scenic location nearby or around the nightly campfire. As well as game drives, an in-house walking guide is available for fascinating tracking and game viewing on foot.

Naona Moru Camp has Wi-Fi and is served by the Seronera Airstrip.

Dining

Freshly baked goods and fine South African wines accompany wholesome cuisine made with fresh local produce. Meals are taken in the intimate dining tent around a communal table, allowing you to recount the day’s exciting safari encounters with family, friends, and fellow guests. If you prefer a quiet night in, the well-trained kitchen staff will arrange romantic private dining on your suite’s verandah. ‘Bush meals’ are part and parcel of any safari experience, and the camp offers alfresco dining at scenic wilderness locations, as well as delicious picnic lunches for those on a full-day safari.
