Gombe National Park is located on the north-eastern shore of Lake Tanganyika near the border with Burundi. It has become world-famous through the pioneering work of the passionate Dr Jane Goodall who came to study the behaviour of chimpanzees. The landscape of the park is steep valleys, streams, and rivers. Air charters land in Kigoma, but accessibility into the park is limited to boats departing from Kigoma town.

Morning shared charter flight from Arusha to Kigoma. Meet our guide on arrival who will transfer you to the Kigoma Hill Hotel. Staff welcome and introductions followed by lunch. Afternoon/early evening chimpanzee treks or forest walks. Evening sundowner, dinner, and overnight will be at your lodge.

After breakfast depart for the morning chimpanzee trek, After spotting the troops, we will have one magical hour. Later back to the lodge for a hot lunch and afternoon leisure perhaps Book an optional boat safari, sundowners, dinner, and overnight at your lodge.
After breakfast morning Dhow transferred to Kigoma and arrived at Kigoma Hill Top Hotel for a hot lunch. Afternoon at leisure, lounge at the swimming pool or the private beach. Optionally book a Ujiji or Livingstone Memorial tour. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

After breakfast at your lodge you will be transferred by our driver guide to Kigoma airport where you will catch the flight back to Arusha overnight or if you would like to connect Safari to Tanzania Northern Circuit’s dinner and overnight will be Planet Lodge.

CANCELLATION
·40% Deposit payable upfront. The remaining balance is payable 45 days before trip departure. Free cancellation up to 30 days before departure, but the 40% deposit paid is non-refundable. No refund applicable within 20 days of departure.
PAYMENT
A deposit of 40% is required when booking this tour. The remaining balance will be charged 45 days before departure. For any bookings within 30 days of departure, the full tour amount will be charged upon booking.
