5 Star all the way, Ngerende Wild is for those travellers seeking some adventure but in a luxurious environment. If the resident wildlife doesn't wow you the staff certainly will - the attention to detail is incredible. For a personalised stay, this camp is one of my top choices.

Suite

A blend of modern and traditional styles, the two en suite River View Luxury Tents are tastefully furnished with commanding views of the Mara River. Mosquito netting keeps insects out but allows cool breezes in while en suite facilities consist of a flush toilet and bucket shower with hot water on demand.

Your own personal Maasai butler attends to your every need while a dedicated guide and vehicle means you enjoy private game viewing.

Other room types

Each serviced by a dedicated butler, Ngerende's two canvas and wood Luxury Suites look out over the savannah where you can often see elephants and buffalo from the comfort of the suite's private verandah. The en suite rooms are beautifully appointed with stylish furniture and elegant finishing touches. An outdoor lap pool makes a welcome spot to cool off during the midday heat.

Each suite has its vehicle and experienced driver/guide for game-viewing activities.

Your butler awakes you with a welcome flask of tea or coffee and an early light breakfast before you set off into the wilds for your game drive.

A hearty meal awaits you back at camp or as a delightfully scenic picnic on the river, where a selection of delicious dishes is on offer. After a relaxing siesta, a sumptuous high tea is served, consisting of a mouthwatering variety of savoury and sweet delicacies.

Return to camp in the evening to find the dining table set out under the stars.
