Angama Mara Safari Camp is a sole-use tented camp that can accommodate a limited number of guests, making this safari experience exclusive and reminiscent of the bygone elegance of Golden Age safaris.
The only thing separating you from the wild is canvas but there has been no skimping on luxury, the camp has all the bells and whistles of a five-star hotel and puts you in the dramatic action of the Great Migration, moving with the herds. Wildlife encounters are nothing short of spectacular, from the pride of lions to trumpeting elephants and the skulking leopard. You will revel in exciting game drives, walking safaris, and even floating serenely above the Mara plains in a hot air balloon.
Your days are filled with traversing this stunning landscape and your evenings are reserved for dining around a roaring campfire, the night sky lit by a million stars. You can then retreat to your luxury tent and end your day with the sound of the laughing hyena and be woken by the birds.

Exclusive Use
Angama Safari Camp has four contemporary tents. Each tent has an extra-length king-size bed, a writing desk, a dressing room, a vanity, separate w/c, and double bucket showers. Despite the tents being temporary, everything in the interior feels permanent. The tents are completed with red rocking chairs just at the entrance, the perfect place to watch the sunrise with a good cup of coffee.
Facilities
There are no facilities at this mobile safari camp, but attentive staff are on hand to arrange bush picnics, and other surprises as you spend your days in the heart of safari wildlife action.
Dining
Angama Mara Safari Camp embraces local cuisine and you can expect Kenyan cheeses on their cheeseboards to Swahili curries. Hearty, wholesome meals feature the best in local produce, and you can even enjoy the safari version of a s’more, toasted sandwiches with chocolate and marshmallows.
