Rooms

Standard Chalet

Strung out along the edge of the escarpment and enjoying beautiful views of the tranquil surroundings, the traditional double-story 'rondavels' are circular, have thatched roofs, and house two en suite rooms each - one upstairs and one downstairs. Each room has either a veranda or a balcony. The decor of the rooms reflects the traditional Maasai style, with hand-woven rugs behind the headboard and furnishings that incorporate traditional beadwork. All rooms have Wi-Fi and comfortable en-suite bathrooms with separate showers. The rooms are spacious enough to accommodate families with the option to add extra beds or a cot should it be required. For added convenience, adjoining rooms are available.

Other room types:

The Losimingori Suite is situated a little way from the other rooms, offering complete privacy and a private entrance. This exclusive suite offers views that stretch to Losimingori Mountain and is elegantly appointed for the more discerning traveler.

The room boasts a king-sized bed, dressing area, and beautifully furnished sitting room, as well as an en suite bathroom. In addition, there is also a fully-stocked mini-bar, television, a spread of fruit and wine on arrival, and a spacious balcony from which to enjoy your panoramic views.

Facilities

The rim-flow swimming pool offers an incredible spot from which to view the lake and, of course, the best place to escape the warm African sun.

Lounge on the pool deck afterward with a drink or some snacks from the pool bar. The restaurant has a bar and an outside terrace that overlooks the pool.

Dining

The restaurant at Lake Manyara is comfortable, yet elegant. The décor has a strong reference to the Maasai culture and features detailed beadwork, gourds, and leatherwork. Dine on delicious, hearty meals three times a day, enjoyed in the dining area or on the terrace. Breakfast and lunch consist of extensive buffets with a wide variety of meat and vegetarian options, while dinner takes a table d'hôte style accompanied by a salad buffet. The majority of the meat, dairy products, and fruits and vegetables are sourced from the communities surrounding the reserve. Complement your meal with a glass of wine from the extensive wine list or with local and imported beers.

You can also enjoy freshly made local fruit juices and the finest Tanzanian coffee and tea. For a special experience, you can choose to enjoy a memorable bush meal at one of the dedicated sites on the grounds - enjoy the beautiful surroundings while tucking into yet another delicious meal.
