  • Day 1: Arusha – Lake Natron - Arusha

  • Lake Natron is a salt and soda lake located in northern Tanzania. Known for its high alkalinity, it has a pH level as high as 10.5 and is a breeding ground for flamingos. The lake's unique red color is due to the presence of pigmented bacteria and algae. It is situated near the border with Kenya and is part of the East African Rift system. The surrounding area is characterized by volcanic landscapes and the Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano, which is active and adds to the lake's mineral content.

Tour Policy

CANCELLATION

·40% Deposit payable upfront. The remaining balance is payable 45 days prior to trip departure. Free cancellation up to 30 days prior to departure, but the 40% deposit paid is non-refundable. No refund applicable within 20 days of departure.

PAYMENT

A deposit of 40% is required when booking this tour. The remaining balance will be charged 45 days prior to departure. For any bookings within 30 days of departure, the full tour amount will be charged upon booking.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We advise you to take out Travel Insurance to cover for any unforeseen circumstances. Moonlight Tours Expedition recommends World Nomads' travel insurance.
