Summit Africa’s Highest Peak • Explore Remote Selous • Discover the Lost City of Kilwa
This 15-day high-end adventure is the ultimate Tanzanian experience for travelers seeking a rare blend of natural conquest, untamed wilderness, and ancient heritage. Begin with an expertly guided summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Trek through five ecological zones and stand triumphantly atop the Roof of Africa (5,895m/19,341ft).
From the mountain’s icy crown, descend into the pristine wilderness of Selous Game Reserve (now Nyerere National Park), where boat safaris, walking safaris, and big game encounters offer an unfiltered safari experience in one of Africa’s last great frontiers.
Finally, journey to Tanzania’s southern coast to uncover the UNESCO World Heritage ruins of Kilwa Kisiwani—a once-great medieval Swahili city-state that was a center of trade, wealth, and Islamic culture along the Indian Ocean. This is a circuit unlike any other, where the climb meets the wild, and the wild meets ancient civilization.
