The scenic drive through lush forests and local villages offers glimpses into Tanzania’s culture and landscape. Upon arrival at the gate, you’ll meet your expert mountain crew, including porters and guides, who will accompany you on your journey to the summit. Your first day's trek takes you through the rainforest zone, where you’ll experience the dense vegetation and vibrant wildlife that characterize this lower elevation. The walk is moderate, allowing your body to gradually acclimatize to the altitude.
Overnight: Machame Camp

This morning, you’ll continue your ascent from Machame Camp to Shira Camp. The trek takes you through the montane forest and into the moorland zone, where the landscape starts to change dramatically, and the air thins. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of the Kilimanjaro massif as you approach the Shira Plateau.
Tonight, enjoy a hearty dinner under the stars, and rest at Shira Camp, a serene stop offering incredible views of the mountain's summit.

Today’s climb takes you higher, leaving behind the moorland as you enter the alpine desert zone. You’ll be treated to spectacular vistas, including views of the Great Barranco Wall. The walk is challenging, with a mixture of moderate ascent and descent that aids in acclimatization. Arriving at Barranco Camp, you’ll enjoy warm hospitality and a relaxing evening in preparation for tomorrow’s more demanding day.
Overnight: Barranco Camp
The climb to Karanga Camp is a memorable day that includes tackling the famous Barranco Wall—a rocky ascent that rewards you with dramatic views. Once at the top, you’ll continue on a relatively easier path to Karanga, where you’ll rest and continue acclimatizing. Take in the views of the glaciers and the sheer magnificence of Kilimanjaro’s peaks as you settle into camp.
Overnight: Karanga Camp
Today, you’ll push further toward Barafu Camp, located just beneath the summit of Kilimanjaro. The path leads through alpine desert, where the landscape becomes increasingly harsh, and the altitude begins to affect breathing. Barafu Camp is your base for the final push to the summit. After arriving, take a rest and prepare for the midnight ascent.
Overnight: Barafu Camp
Your summit attempt begins around midnight. Under the cover of darkness, you’ll begin the grueling trek to the top, with the aim of reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 5,895 meters. Reaching the summit at dawn, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views across the Tanzanian plains and a sense of accomplishment that’s hard to match. After celebrating, descend back to Mweka Camp, where you’ll rest and recover from the ascent.
Overnight: Mweka Camp

After a restful night, descend from Mweka Camp to the Mweka Gate.
