Bilene
We meet you at a pre-arranged pick up point in Maputo. We then make our way to beautiful Bilene, a small town surrounded by inland lakes. We check in at our accommodation where you can settle in. Your accommodation will be a comfortable chalet. In the evening we enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Activities in Bilene
We start the day with an early morning swim in the clear waters of the inland lake. After our refreshing swim we enjoy a scrumptious breakfast, after which you can relax on the beach at our campsite. Your guide will organize you a boat trip across the inland lake to the beaches of the Indian Ocean after which your local guide will then take you for a walk along the beach to one of the spots where you might be lucky enough to observe the Hawksbill and Green Turtles which make the Bilene area their home. The rest of the day can be spent familiarizing yourself with the local fisherman and maybe even going prawning with them. This is an excellent time to immerse yourself in their culture and to get to know how the locals live. There is a local market where you can find an assortment of curios, and taking a walk around town is a must. In the evening we enjoy a Fish Barbecue.

Tofo Beach
After breakfast we leave Bilene and drive to Tofo Beach where we will spend the next 2 days. These relaxing days are spent swimming in the tropical Indian Ocean, sun bathing, playing beach, playing beach volleyball and enjoying sun downers at local the beach bar. The small town of Tofo also has its own small curio and food market, and one or two restaurants where they serve great seafood and other local dishes typical of Mozambique. Your guide will organize your Ocean Safari, which is included in the tour. If you would like to learn how to surf, you will have the opportunity to take some classes.

Activities In Tofo
After waking up to the sounds of the Indian Ocean, we will enjoy a hearty tropical breakfast before travelling north to the town of Inhambane, with one of the best curio markets in Mozambique. After a visit to the market, we will head towards Barra Beach. The warm tropical waters of Barra attract many species of fish and other sea dwelling creatures such as Green and Leather-Back Turtles, Manta Rays and the Whale Shark, the majestic giant of the sea. After a day of exploring we return to Tofo for dinner and overnight.

Xai Xai (SHAI SHAI)
After breakfast we make our way to Xai Xai (pronounced shai shai). This busting town is situated alongside the Limpopo River and is the capital of the Gaza Province. This popular holiday town has most amenities including markets, shops, restaurants, bars, petrol stations banks and a post office. The beach is a mere 15 minutes’ drive from the town. Xai Xai is home to a beautiful a reef that runs parallel to the beach. Here you experience great snorkeling and diving. Popular beaches in this area include Chongoene and Zongoene. Attractions include the fascinating Wenela Tidal Pool and a number of fresh water lakes within a 30 minute drive which are ideal for water sports. Sunset cruises can also be enjoyed on the Limpopo River.

Return to Maputo
This is the last day of your Mozambique tropical island safari. After a hearty breakfast we make our way back to Maputo. Drop off by arrangement.

Incredible Safari & Kilimanjaro - excellent guide
Great company for safari and Kilimanjaro, we were completely happy with the experience.Fredrick was great at helping us organize our safari and trek and was always on hand to answer any question we had before the safari. We decided to pay on arrival and Fredrick accept that likewise as we were traveling with so much cash the we handed the cash over Fredrick The safari was marvelous ,our guide Elisante was very knowledgeable and charming.we did 7days Serengeti,Tarangire and Ngorongoro crater camping safari,Elisante made sure we so all the Big5 Likewise we did Kilimanjaro via Machame rout in a small group and Our guides Mike Tom,Osward and Haji were very experience and helped us all to get to the top, even carrying our day pack when struggling with altitude sickness to ensure we reached the summit Eventually we had great experience with Moonlight Tours Expedition and we would recommend go with them
