Historic Capital of Maputo
The Pestana Rovuma Hotel is perfectly situated in the center of Maputo next to the Botanical Gardens and the famous "Iron House" built by Gustav Eiffel, the same man who built the Eiffel Tower. Our guide will take you to visit some points of interest around the city center, the Old Portuguese fort, the market square and beautifully ornate colonial-style railway station and the Museum of Natural History as well as interesting monuments and statues that recall colonial rule and the leaders that lead the transition to independence in the 1970s. If you have come from South Africa to get here you will notice a distinct relaxation. There is less crime here and although you still need to be aware of your surroundings and where you go you can afford to be a little less so here in Mozambique. This tour can be added as a continuation or prequel to a Kruger itinerary and can also be continued south into Zululand and Durban from whence you can fly to Cape Town and also available as a 3-day trip

Maputo Elephant Reserve and Road South to Ponto Do Ouro Beach Resort
From your hotel room, you will have seen as a backdrop to Maputo Harbor the majestic sweep of the newly completed suspension bridge that crosses Maputo Bay. Built by the Chinese this bridge makes access to the coast south of Maputo much easier than in the past.We shall leave our hotel fairly early after breakfast this morning cross this bridge and journey south. Our first stop will be one of Mozambique's wildlife areas the Maputo Elephant Reserve. We shall take a short 2-hour game drive in our vehicle here before proceeding on to our final destination Ponta Do Ouro by early afternoon. We will check in to our idyllic accommodation which is within easy walking distance of the beach.

A Rejuvenating Day at This Subtropical Beach Resort
There is a range of optional activities available here at Ponta. We can book them for you and add it to the cost of your tour. Sea Safari - Go with experienced sea ranger out to sea to spot whales, dolphins, stingrays, sharks, gigantic shoals of fish, many types of sea bird and of course the passing ships on their way to and from the Cape of Good Hope. Scuba Diving and snorkeling from beginners to advanced. This can include shark diving as this is one of the world's best locations for this activity. Deep-sea fishing trips can also be arranged. But of course you can just relax and enjoy the beach and which is free!

After another morning on the beach or some other activity. We shall journey northwards back to Maputo getting there by early afternoon or let us know if you want to add to this itinerary by going south to Zululand or west to Swaziland, both make beautiful additions to this itinerary.

Incredible Safari & Kilimanjaro - excellent guide
Great company for safari and Kilimanjaro, we were completely happy with the experience.Fredrick was great at helping us organize our safari and trek and was always on hand to answer any question we had before the safari. We decided to pay on arrival and Fredrick accept that likewise as we were traveling with so much cash the we handed the cash over Fredrick The safari was marvelous ,our guide Elisante was very knowledgeable and charming.we did 7days Serengeti,Tarangire and Ngorongoro crater camping safari,Elisante made sure we so all the Big5 Likewise we did Kilimanjaro via Machame rout in a small group and Our guides Mike Tom,Osward and Haji were very experience and helped us all to get to the top, even carrying our day pack when struggling with altitude sickness to ensure we reached the summit Eventually we had great experience with Moonlight Tours Expedition and we would recommend go with them
