  • Chobe National Park

Upon your arrival in the small town, we prepare for our afternoon safari into the Chobe National Park. Armed with sunscreen and cameras we climb aboard our safari vehicles, seeking out lion, leopard, hyena, elephant, giraffe and a wide variety of antelope and birdlife whilst winding our way through the reserve’s gravel tracks and rough terrain. Chobe National Park was the very first National Park to be constructed in Botswana, and is the third biggest Park throughout the whole country. It is also home to Africa’s biggest population of elephant. The Chobe River is one of Africa’s most exquisite, and contains a massive concentration of different animals. We search the horizon and riverbanks trying to spot animals that are looking for water as the day turns to night. Following a satisfying day of game viewing, we arrive back at our accommodation and sleep beneath the star-speckled African sky

    • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Chobe National Park – Savuti Areas

We are able to travel deep into the southwest corner of the Chobe National Park today by means of a 4X4 wheel drive only. From there, we head to the Savuti Marsh which is a relic of a massive inland lake, fed from time to time by the Savuti Channel. This area is comprised of undulating savannah which attracts a wide variety of antelope species, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and elephant. In turn, these attract a range of predators, including lion, leopard, hyena, wild dog and cheetah. This is an incredible game viewing day and camping in the wild only serves to enhance your experience when you this near to the true wilderness of nature.

    • Savute Safari Lodge
    • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Savute – Moremi Game Reserve or Adjacent Community Game Management Area

Snuggled against the waters of the Okavango Delta is the Moremi Game Reserve. Smaller and visited less often than Chobe, it nevertheless boasts spectacular game viewing. The mixture of different habitats from Mopane woodland to Acacia floodplains and lagoons makes the region an area of breathtaking beauty, nourishing a wide variety of wildlife. Frequent sightings include that of leopard, wild dog, cheetah and lion, and elephant, giraffe and zebra encounters are rather common around the Reserve. Usually, you will have a couple of visitors in the night, including the spotted hyena and honey badger. At particular times of the year, you might prefer to pay a visit to a surrounding Game Management Area in place of Moremi due to safety reasons as well as to experience better game viewing.

    • Duba Plain Camp
    • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Moremi – Maun, BOTSWANA

We awake early to head out on a morning game drive, returning later in the day to pack up and begin our journey to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. Maun is the hub of Botswana’s tourism industry, and the road from Moremi to Maun crosses enormous regions of protected community land. On the way to the town, we will also cross the Buffalo Fence, which circles the entire southern portion of the Delta in order to protect it from cattle encroachment. The neighboring regions of Maun offer us the incredible chance to observe authentic rural life at its best, with locals working the land and tending to their livestock.

Maun – Okavango Delta – Maun, BOTSWANA

A relaxing leave from camp leads us to the Okavango Delta, a natural wetland network that spreads over approximately 1.6 million hectares of northern Botswana. The Delta is formed by the south flow of rivers from Angola that divide repetitively across the flat plains of Botswana, creating a complex system of river channels, lagoons and isolated islands. The Okavango is an inland Delta and the only one of its kind in the whole of Africa. We devote today to exploring the wilderness with expert ‘polers’ who navigate us through the maze of water channels of the Delta in a Mokoro (traditional dug-out canoe). If luck is on our side, we might be able to spot some wonderful wildlife, including hippo, crocodile, buffalo and elephant, but this experience is more focused on the incredible watercourses and stunning beauty of this unique place. We should return to Maun around 2pm in the afternoon and the rest of the afternoon is free to relax by the pool or partake in an optional afternoon scenic flight over the Okavango Delta

    Maun – Makgadikgadi Pans, BOTSWANA

Departing from Maun, we journey to the Makgadikgadi Pans stopping on the way at the charming village of Gweta and continuing on south to Chapman’s Baobabs. The Baobabs’ circumference is more than 25 metres, leaving them to act as sentries over the distant pans – enormous glimmering salt depression on the edges of the Kalahari Desert. We spend our evening camping on the pans close to the small village of Nata. Sleeping near these pans, beneath a star-studded African sky is a truly unforgettable experience. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the rainy season in Botswana (primarily between January-March), we may not camp at the Makgadikgadi Pans. We might move our destination to Nata where we will overnight and awake early for a chance to see the Flamingos at the Flaming Sanctuary.Trip Highlights: Chapman’s Baobabs, Makgadikgadi Pans, Stargazing and sleeping out on the salt pans, seasonally flamingos

    • Northgate Lodge
    • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Makgadikgadi Pans – Victoria Falls, ZIMBABWE

We leave in the early morning to journey back to Kasane, wandering through enormous open savannahs on the way and passing various local villages before bidding our guide adieu and going on to meet up with the transfer vehicles once again, which will take us across the border into Zimbabwe for our last trip to Victoria Falls. On today’s journey be sure to keep your eyes open for the migrating wildlife wandering between Chobe National Park and the close by Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. Your tour comes to an end upon arrival in Victoria Falls.

We decided to pay on arrival and Fredrick accept that likewise as we were traveling with so much cash the we handed the cash over Fredrick The safari was marvelous ,our guide Elisante was very knowledgeable and charming.we did 7days Serengeti,Tarangire and Ngorongoro crater camping safari,Elisante made sure we so all the Big5 Likewise we did Kilimanjaro via Machame rout in a small group and Our guides Mike Tom,Osward and Haji were very experience and helped us all to get to the top, even carrying our day pack when struggling with altitude sickness to ensure we reached the summit Eventually we had great experience with Moonlight Tours Expedition and we would recommend go with them
